CPM Global Innovation Center Tour

Crown’s Innovation Center, located at their global headquarters, serves as a hub for developing and testing new oil seed processing technologies. The state-of-the-art facility includes a fully functional 15,000 sq ft pilot plant where customers can develop, test, and scale innovations in a controlled environment. The center features advanced equipment for preparation, extraction, and liquids processing, allowing real-world experimentation with various feedstocks. With continuous monitoring and data collection through computerized PLC controls, customers benefit from hands-on training and operational support. The center also includes educational spaces like the Vision boardroom for collaboration and the Momentum training room for theoretical learning.

The pilot plant at Crown’s Innovation Center is divided into three main areas: preparation, extraction, and liquids, each occupying 5,000 sq ft and designed with safety and industry compliance in mind. The preparation area handles various oil seeds and other products, while the extraction area supports solid-liquid extraction using multiple solvents. The liquids area is equipped for liquid purification, renewable fuel processing, and oleochemical applications. The facility also houses a restricted Skunk Works R&D Workshop, where Crown’s dedicated team develops disruptive technologies for future challenges. Through this comprehensive setup, Crown enables its customers to innovate, improve efficiency, and bring new products to market swiftly.
